I started Rupee & Pound because I couldn’t find a single place that treated my UK life and Indian finances as one picture - not two separate problems

Most NRI finance content is written from India looking outward or from UK looking inward. It rarely accounts for both - for someone with ISA and an NRE account, a UK pension and a portfolio back home, a mortgage application here that depends on credit history that you are still building from scratch

Rupee & Pound isn’t run by a bank, a remittance company or an investment platform. I just research, comparisons and the occasional strong opinion about which banking app is actually worth your time.

A woman sitting at a light wood desk with a closed blue book, an open notebook, a pen, and a black coffee mug. She is reaching for the notebook. There is a large potted olive tree by the window, sunlight casting shadows on the wall, and a set of books and glasses on a shelf.

My background is in financial services. I have spent 5 years building my own financial life across the UK and India - this site is a guide I wish existed when I started. If you are figuring out the same things I did, start with our Best UK Bank Accounts for New NRIs guide if you haven't set one up yet or subscribe below and I’ll send the next one straight to you.
